August 7th and 8th--the Scott's are in the house!

This weekend we were so excited to spend time with Tim, Emily and Scottie Scott. We went to the Willow Drive BBQ followed by dinner and then the sunset on the boat. It never feels like long enough...too bad NYC and DC aren't next door neighbors:-) Also, lots of pics, but we let Em have the camera...there were over 200--this is the short list:-)

Fun Summer Pics

So with our new blog format I don't know how to make the pictures look good like Mark does, however, I wanted to share some fun ones that I found in my camera starting with Brayden giving the 1-2 punch at Bennett's birthday. The pic on the bench is when we went up to Vermont with Aaron and Alexa in early June. There is also a pic of Bennett on the plane on the way down to Orlando--we upgraded to First class so he actually had his first first-class experience on the way down to Disney...talk about spoiled. On the way down to Disney, our early am flight was cancelled so we ended up spending hours at the Westchester County airport and decided to eat breakfast--Bennett's first waffles! The top pic is from the 28th--on the 27th my office gave me a mini birthday party with a red velvet cake--Bennett loves playing with cake. Not much on the eating the cake, but playing with it sure is fun!

Drawing and Reading

Bennett is just starting to use the crayons to color on the paper. Before he would just take them and eat them immediately. We have progressed to taking them, scribbling, then eating them. He also loves his Cheerios book which uses Cheerios to fill in for normal objects. He isn't putting them on, but is great at taking them off and eating them!
