New Toy

After having to crank up the mobiles that we had in the crib and the pack and play every 2 minutes, we decided to upgrade. The new toy doesn't stop until you turn it off and you can turn it on and off with the TV remote control!

Oh My...Go Seminoles!

After a long day at work I walked into the living room yesterday to find this...maybe grandpa is having too much fun dressing up the baby...

Grandpa!

Bennett was chillin in the Bumbo when Grandpa arrived!

My 3-month milestones

So at 3 months old, Bennett is able to hold his head up to a 90 degree angle while on his belly (a 4 month milestone), can stand on his feet if someone holds his hand, and can hold the rattle (and knows what it is). Here is some fun video of the little man!

A visit from Auntie Em and Uncle Timmy

This weekend we had the Scotts come for a visit to meet Bennett for the first time! We had a beautiful day on the boat (pics to follow in another post) and Tim was able to get up on the wake board for the first time! These are a few pics to Via's in Westport which has AMAZING Italian food.

There was some excitement this weekend as Bennett had his second round of shots on Thursday. He was spitting up more than normal on Friday and then on Saturday he had an enormous amount of vomit about 5 times in a row. The Pediatrician said that we had to go to the emergency room, so we headed out to Norwalk Hospital. After giving him 4 ounces of Pedialite, he was back to his normal self, but we still had to wait over an hour to get seen by a doctor. The doctor then said that he had some obscure disease and wanted to talk directly to our pediatrician. Dr. Owens was quick to shut down his crazy theory and we were on our way home around 11pm. Just because we wait for 3 hours doesn't mean we aren't ok if nothing is really wrong. Lessons learned--listen to Dr. Mom as she had the right diagnosis before we even went to the hospital!

Party in Weston!

This weekend we attended the first annual Willow Drive BBQ hosted by the Tolks!

Everybody up get on the floor, Bennett cries like a dinosaur

I was looking for gadgets on this blogger background site and found a dinosaur...because Bennett is a dinosaur, it is fitting:-)

Stats!

On Wednesday the 5th of August we headed to our two month pediatrician appointment with Dr. Owens--this was the first big one! Bennett had two shots and goes back next week for two more. When the thigh shark attacked, Bennett let out a wail, then calmed immediately. This was much better than we expected! On the way home he fell asleep and I went to spinning while the Kline's and Mark watched the little guy. Apparently as soon as I left he started wailing like there was no tomorrow--like he had never cried before! Mark and my parents couldn't even talk the crying was so loud and his leg was swollen at least twice its normal size. He is ok now, but it was pretty bad--a good reason not to have all of the shots at once!

His stats were:
23 inches (50th percentile)
11 lbs 4 ozs (50th percentile)

The pictures are from July 25th when Mark did the kayak for a cause--a kayak race from Huntington Long Island to Norwalk CT. His team was one of the first boats to cross the finish line and did it at such a fast pace we weren't even there to see him come in!

The 26th we said goodbye to the Smith Parents that came to help for a little over two weeks. We appreciate all of the help and support and are so glad that they were here to see the little guy when he was really little! The dogs especially miss grandpa Jim who treated them like first class citizens where everyone else has been giving too much attention to the baby. Can't wait to see them again in September!

We also had some of Bennett's first smiles when they were here--now he is a very smiley guy--these pictures were some of his first smiles in reaction to someone smiling at him--it is so great to know that there is a little person in there!!

BABY B

It has been a while since my last post because I can't find my camera!! B is becoming bigger by the day...we see the pediatrician tomorrow to know how big he really is--I think he is well over 12 lbs--we are considering going to size 2 diapers!! We'll put up a post tomorrow with the actual stats. His favorite things to do this week are bombing out his diaper (MAJOR pants explosions!), holding his head up, smiling, and baby yoga! We have dance dance revolution time each night where mommy and Bennett dance to hip hop music and then wind down with classical music. We just finished dance time and he is knocked out. For three nights in a row he slept 5 and a half hours, but then last night we were off. Mark blamed it on the soy noodles that we ate that he didn't like--apparently Bennett didn't like them either! This picture is taken on my Blackberry, so not great, but shows his fun bib from Gramleenie!
